  1. Watch your portions! Fill your plate with healthy vegetables, fruits and low fat fare. Start with the vegetables and fruits to fill you up.myplate_blue

  2. Limit alcohol consumption. After a couple of drinks you are more likely to make poor food choices. 1 oz of Chardonnay has 25 calories, an average 12 oz can of beer can have 103 calories, and 1 oz of Vodka has 64 calories. Remember to stay hydrated, drink water between drinks.

  3. Eat a healthy snack before going to a party, so you feel more satisfied.

  4. Keep up your exercise routine.  If time does not permit go for a walk before and after dinner.

  5. Treat yourself.  Moderation is the key.  Choose your favorite dessert, and have half the normal serving.
